About me and my brand

Hi, my name is Molly Parry and I am currently in my third year of the Fashion Marketing and Communication course at the University of Chester. From the summer up until now we have had a number of tasks which has led us to the development of our own brand which is based around ourselves. I started off with our summer research tasks which allowed me to learn more about myself as a person and what sort of character I am. This was the start on reflecting how I work and how I would continue this within my brand. The next part of the module was our Brand me section, this was really when we started to develop our brand by thinking about what market level we would fit in, the meanings behind our brands and also looking into various current brands that were similar to the brand we were going for. For me I have always been 100% for the fast fashion market, the market is filled with fun and girlie brands, and A LOT of pink which reflects on me and my brand the best. To help me decide on where I am going with my brand and final major project, I researched thoroughly into the current problems fast fashion faces and the problems that fast fashion cause. This led me to sustainability. I was at first comparing my brand to online fast fashion brands but when it came down to sustainability this was not the best suited option for my brand, this is when I developed my ideas further and decided to look into more high street brands as a brand that influenced my hugely was H&M. They are the most sustainable fast fashion brand at the moment, and they are only continuing to develop on this and grow.

That then brings me onto my 360 campaign, the idea for this campaign is to not make a whole new concept on sustainability, but to enhance the current sustainability messages within fast fashion brands such as H&M and take these to the masses and expand on these messages more. I have named my campaign ‘We Are The Future’ as it is aimed at generation Z who currently have the most power to change the future of our planet for the better.
